I'm a bit of a frustrated artist. I know what I want to be able to paint; I know what the completed canvas should look like, but that defining talent is not there. Talent, that is, with a paintbrush. With a camera I feel far more confident in being able to get the desired composition using my artistic and technical skills. But an accurate depiction of an image is not art. Art requires more than just skill with a camera. So if the image can be captured on a computer disk and manipulated with a mouse rather than a paintbrush or pencil, can this be art? Have a look at the images on this page and see what you think. I would be very interested in any opinions on the subject.
